Yesterday, the Conservation & Biodiversity Unit (CBU) celebrated its third anniversary since its establishment on October 21, 2021. The celebration was simple yet meaningful, highlighting the significant progress made in this short time.
Starting with just 7 staff members, CBU has grown to a dedicated team of 26 under the leadership of Mr. Charis Saliun, the CBU Manager. This growth showcases CBU’s positive impact on Sawit Kinabalu’s conservation agenda within the Sustainability Division. The decision to establish CBU has proven timely, reinforcing the commitment to advancing the company’s sustainability initiatives.
The unit’s collaborative efforts with various government agencies and NGOs have been instrumental in driving conservation initiatives, especially in the Sg Pin area. This milestone is a testament to the power of teamwork and shared vision.
