KINABATANGAN: Sawit Kinabalu Group, through SKG Green Sdn. Bhd., was honoured to host delegates from the NISCOPS Global Learning Trip, organised by IDH – The Sustainable Trade Initiative, at the Sg. Pin Conservation Area (SPnCA) in Kinabatangan.

The event was graced by Madam Philipa Datuk Wilfred Mojilis, Chief Executive Officer of SKG Green Sdn. Bhd., and attended by distinguished delegates from IDH – Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nigeria, India, Colombia, and the Netherlands, the British High Commission, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Malaysia, Solidaridad (Malaysia, West Africa, Indonesia, and the Netherlands), and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
The two-day visit showcased SPnCA as a model for the Production, Protection, Inclusion (PPI) 2.0 landscape approach, demonstrating how sustainable palm oil production can coexist with biodiversity conservation, community empowerment, and environmental stewardship.

The event also featured active participation from two local community groups, one representing women artisans producing traditional bead handicrafts, and another involved in rattan-based cottage industry initiatives. Their presence underscored the strong connection between conservation, cultural heritage, and sustainable livelihoods.
The learning trip concluded with a river cruise along the Kinabatangan River, where delegates witnessed firsthand Sawit Kinabalu’s conservation initiatives aimed at protecting wildlife habitats and preserving Sabah’s natural landscapes.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to IDH, our international and local partners, and the communities of Kinabatangan for their continued collaboration in promoting sustainable landscapes and responsible palm oil.
