In April 2025, Sabah JASPO attended a meeting together with the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (Kementerian Perladangan dan Komoditi) and the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) team in Putrajaya to explore potential collaboration between JASPO and MSPO.

The meeting was chaired by YBhg Dato’ Razali bin Mohamad, Deputy Secretary General (Plantation and Commodities), and attended by Encik Severinus Tukah and his team from the Ministry. MPOB was represented by YBrs. Dr. Mohd. Hefni Rusli, Director, Smallholder Extension & Certification Division and MSPO was represented by Encik Muhammad Haris Abdullah, the Chief Technical Officer. Sabah JASPO was led by the JASPO Secretariat Director, Ms Julia Majail and Encik Nazlan Mohamad from Sawit Kinabalu Group.

The discussion laid the foundation for a strong and aligned collaboration between Sabah JASPO and the national certification scheme, MSPO.
