From August 23rd to 24th, 2024, Mr. Gary and Mark Louise, members of the Borneo Bird Club, conducted a rapid bird survey at SPnCA. Their assessment covered key areas including the hiking trail at Bukit Mansuli, Bukit Pongo, and the vicinity of the jetty. The primary objective was to evaluate SPnCA’s potential as a prime birding location, a promising ecotourism activity for the area. Additionally, the survey aimed to identify optimal birding hotspots within the site. The results have been documented and are available on the eBird website. We extend our sincere thanks to the Borneo Bird Club for their invaluable efforts and we are hopeful that SPnCA will soon be recognized as one of Sabah’s premier birding destinations.
