Sawit Kinabalu Staff in Lahad Datu Region Partner with Hospital for Second Blood Donation Drive

LAHAD DATU, SABAH – The staff of the Sawit Kinabalu in Lahad Datu region have joined hands with the Medical Transfusion Unit of Lahad Datu Hospital to launch their second Blood Donation Programme for 2024.

The programme was held at Bagahak 2 Complex on 23rd July 2024 and at Lahad Datu Region Office on 30th July, 2024, garnered significant support from the community. A total of 31 donors participated at Bagahak Complex, with an additional 15 donors at the Lahad Datu Region Office. Plans are underway to continue the initiative at Sandau Complex and Sebrang Complex in August, 2024.

The Blood Donation Programme, which operates on a quarterly basis, plays a crucial role in maintaining an ample supply of blood at Lahad Datu Hospital. By bolstering blood supply regularly, the initiative aims to meet the ongoing demand for blood products necessary for various medical treatments.

Congratulations to the proactive staff of Sawit Kinabalu in Lahad Datu Region for their successful launch of the second Blood Donation Programme, in collaboration with the Medical Transfusion Unit of Lahad Datu Hospital.
