On 26 June 2024, a total of 12 students from Oregon State University (OSU) led by Ms Rachel Fahrenbach and Jessica Hightower visited Sandau Estate at Lahad Datu. The group was guided by Ms Fiqah from Forever Sabah. The main objective of the visit was to give the students an overview of Sawit Kinabalu businesses and the oil palm plantation operations as well as the conservation initiatives undertaken at Sg Pin Conservation Area.

The group were also given the opportunity through a hands-on practical to harvest fresh fruit bunch (FFB) from the palm trees.

Thank you, Oregon State University, for the visit and we hoped the students gained something valuable from the trip on our oil palm operations and the conservation efforts that we are doing.
